Some good info in the article - especially in regards to be knowledgeable about your companies (names, pronunciation, business profile, etc).

On the fence about #3 - depends on what the situation is. If I'm quoting a price without knowing what all is entailed then, yes, I'll give a range and have the back-up ready to let them know what could cause the balance to increase and/or decrease. Same with time quotes - if the client is unaware or unsure of all that their request entails then I'll give an estimate based on previous work and give detailed feedback once I begin work to let them know the estimated completion date.
