Permalink Reply by Aspiring Author Delonda Burns on August 27, 2012 at 1:51pm Dana, I must say that you are not alone honey. I'm married with three boys, I have one grown (20) and my other two are 11 and 7. It can become a real energy drainer sometimes, so I truly understand. I just try to go and spend time doing what I love and that's thrifting and hanging out in the book stores. We just have to learn how to balance it all, stay prayerful, asking the hubby or family member if they can help with somethings, and remembering to at least allow ourselves to take some breaks in between. It will get better, believe me!!!
Peace & Blessings,
Delonda B

Permalink Reply by Bridget Body on August 27, 2012 at 3:11pm I'm not a wife, but I am a mom, homeowner and full-time employee with entrepreneurial dreams. Some days it's rough! Some days I don't know if I'm coming or going, but then I remind myself that everything I do is for the love of my daughter and my desire to start my own business.

Permalink Reply by Raquel Masco on September 1, 2012 at 11:08am I am a mom who is single and a business and social entrepreneur. It can become overwhelming. When you have people depending on you, you don't want to let them down. But, I have learned I do not have to do it all and I don't have to do things I do on my own all the time. Keeping my priorities in check and my calendar in order helps a lot. Having a clear vision for what I want to accomplish daily, weekly and monthly also keeps me on track. And yes, making sure I take time just for me...keeps my head on straight. I get up early and if an event is not pressing...I say no to it. I wish all the best in finding that balance that works for you and your family.

Permalink Reply by T'Nae on September 13, 2012 at 4:01am Hi Dana! I empathize with you completely, I am a wife and mother of two girls (5 years old and 5 month old). It is definitely challenging trying to find the time in the day to focus on creating and growing a business between cooking, cleaning, diaper duty and more but in the end it will be so worth it. Not only are you in the process of living your dreams, you are creating a legacy for your daughters :-)

Permalink Reply by Tamara Angela Grant on September 17, 2012 at 3:28pm You are not alone in feeling like this! I try to meditate and tell myself that what is not completed today can wait until tomorrow. Truth is that there are not enough hours in the day to do it all! I used to beat myself up for not doing it all and being everything to everyone, but now, I give myself a lot more credit for what I do accomplish vs what I didn't get crammed into my day.
It's touch finding the balance, but if you have a good support team, that helps. Just remember that it's okay to take a day here and there to do absolutely nothing and that you have to build family time and "me" time into your schedule just like you schedule everything else.
Peace,
Tamara
