Permalink Reply by Jennahs Brew on May 24, 2012 at 5:35pm The ability to give a Lifestyle to my children that has NO LIMITS. Usually we have to scrimp and save for the smallest things to make ourselves and our loved ones happy. When we can do this without a SECOND THOUGHT. That is priceless. In addition, we can give BACK to the community and those who may not have a person/mentor in their life that can show them the way and the TOOLS needed to be ABOVE AVERAGE. IT's not about where you come from... its all in what you do with the things you have experienced and then to see you come out on top.
It's so much more than just a financial freedom, but a community freedom and MIND Freedom -- It becomes SO MUCH MORE than just the money. Than just being able to pay the bills. When you have the ability to bring people out of Misery and give them that glimpse of hope, only because you DECIDED to own your own business and give Back, You are Truly Successful...
Oh yeah and I lovvvve to Travel lol.

Permalink Reply by Robin Jackson on June 3, 2012 at 11:01am When my mother passed away and the company I worked for advised me I had a week to grieve and get my mother's affairs in order was insulting. I knew in that moment I had to do my own thing! Being in control of myself in every aspect is very liberating!

Permalink Reply by Trakelia Jimerson on June 4, 2012 at 8:19am Growing up I saw my mother struggling to provide for my brother and I. When I had my daughter and then my son I realized that I was headed down the same path to a dead end. I want more for my children then what I had so I know I have to pave my own way. I don't want my future to lay in the hands of some 9-5 instead I wanted to take control of MY destiny and put to work the gift God gave me of creativity. Thus Mz Kiki's Closet was born! Looking forward and NEVER looking back!

Permalink Reply by Takeya Hill on June 10, 2012 at 12:51am I started my own business because I realized that it's important to make a career out of something I enjoy doing. I had my first job @ 14, my 2nd @ 16 and a ten year career @ 19. There was a lot of dictation and even more non-appreciation given. These jobs couldn't help me exercise my entrepreneurial strengths either, although the latter was great pay with benefits.
Life really is too short just for a paycheck. There are too many who have died rich, monetarily, but broke in vision or implementation of a "dream".
I thought, how about something that can make some true memories. ?.?
I love starting my day at my leisure, and stopping when I've reached my goals comfortably. I also like having the pleasure of incorporating my own ideas in all that I do, knowing that integrity, creativity and an unpredictability will be present. I simply love what I do and it shows in my style, my presentation, my personality and my selections.

Permalink Reply by Victoria Sconion on August 23, 2012 at 6:54pm I always wanted to run my own business. My parents always told me as a young child I always stated that I wanted to own a mall. Dealing with all these temps and part time jobs with companies telling me the limit cap on how much I can earn and how many hours I am able to work is a little frustrating when I know their is an unlimited abundance supply of wealth, happiness, love, health, and peace.

Permalink Reply by Chrissy Jones on August 24, 2012 at 12:09pm My passion became clear to me when a co-worker mentioned that she should have me style her for accessories. That never happened, but it helped to realize my passion for accessories and accessories styling. When I received a compliment from an accessories store owner on a ring I was wearing,it fueled my passion even more. I am planning to have my online accessories store up by the end of September NO later than October 1.

Permalink Reply by Victoria Watlington on December 30, 2012 at 8:00pm I was sitting in the Urgent Care one day, and I realized that I was actually happier in the middle of a room full of contagious patients than I was at work, and was thankful for the time away from my day job. And I wanted to make a difference. At that moment, I knew I had to strike out on my own, because time cannot be earned, though more money can be made. My life has purpose, and I have to live it purposefully.
