I was contacted today by a friend of a friend and learned someone they love attempted suicide after learning about their mate deception, emotional infidelity (and this was an open relationship/open marriage) I was asked for my clinical advice for this persons safety and well being. At the end of the call I reflected on how much each of us want to be loved ( even men) and will make rushed decisions, and be self destructive over relationships in our lives. And, our adult relationships are influenced by our childhood relationship.
