One thing I would like to say be unique with whatever you carry the one thing that makes it a boutique is the fact that you offer something we cant find just anywhere if I can look on line and find it myself why in the world do I want to buy it from you , I see so many do that these days.

@Shatwann I want to open an consignment boutique. I thought about renting a booth at a local thrift mall (cheaper than a store) and starting an online store also.... Can anyone advise me on this?

I agree with Roberta. Most boutiques make the mistake of carrying what EVERYONE else is carrying so theirs no longer stand out. Also location is everything so be sure that people can find your boutique easily. Try not to be tucked off so much that only your close friends and relatives can find you. I hope this helps!
