I think the reality shows need a dose of real women handling their business. Often, I am drawn to characters on reality shows who have a successful business but the show only highlights their drama i.e. Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks, Kandi Burruss etc.
Would you like to see a reality show featuring the business side of these divas?
Who is your favorite reality star that is handling her business? What do you admire about her? What would you like to learn?

And she isn't scared to venture out her norm! Phaedra and Cynthia are also good examples of self made bosses!!! I am in the process of becoming more business savvy with my current job.

Permalink Reply by Robin Jackson on June 5, 2012 at 10:25pm My favorite reality star(s) that are handling their business are not currently on t.v. but they are:
Lisa Raye McCoy - say what you want about her, but, girlfriend takes a licking and came back BossChick to the max and she ain't done!! I find her to be extremely strategic with her come back approach and the drama she creates she takes responsibility and openly seeks and speaks to the Universe for guidance.
Kimora Lee Simmons - now that is a baaad female for real! Her branding savvy is on point. She has a team of people that support her and she supports them. She balances her family life well with her professional life and I watched her let go of all things required with Russell Simmons and become brand new with new endeavors, endorsements, etc., acquired from her reputation! She also showed the world she is not just a mogul with divatude, she shared her fears and insecurities which were much like every other female running a business and such. I found her to be very relatable.
Both of these women managed to have good ratings and they did it without putting their hands on anyone, calling folks out their name, demeaning or bullying anyone, while still getting paid...
That be the definition of a #BossChick!
-What I've learned strategic planning and focus is key, branding is not just about your business it is also about giving back and gratitude

Kimora's show was on point. I was taking notes every episode. I liked seeing her negotiate and close deals.
They are both BossChicks!

Permalink Reply by Brandi Ragin on June 6, 2012 at 12:20am I think that is a great idea for a reality show. Show young girls that not all women are looking for someone to take care of them. My fave has to be Nene Leaks, YES I SAID NENE. She went from being a no name person to one of the biggest shows on TV. She's tough but she is about her business and I can respect that about her.

Permalink Reply by Tiandra Johnson on June 7, 2012 at 10:33am Thanks Brandi. Ms. Leaks is a Rich.... you know the rest lol

Permalink Reply by DCity Life on June 6, 2012 at 10:33am Great Idea! I too would have liked to see more of the way they handle their business in those shows (Kandy especially). I would love to see Missy Elliott handle her business as well. Again Great idea!

Permalink Reply by Tiandra Johnson on June 7, 2012 at 10:35am Thanks. Wonder what Missy is up to now?
