I think the reality shows need a dose of real women handling their business. Often, I am drawn to characters on reality shows who have a successful business but the show only highlights their drama i.e. Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks, Kandi Burruss etc.
Would you like to see a reality show featuring the business side of these divas?
Who is your favorite reality star that is handling her business? What do you admire about her? What would you like to learn?

Permalink Reply by Jacklyn Shields on June 7, 2012 at 5:36pm I am in complete agreement with this! Why do we continue to glorify women who do nothing but promote hate, drama and negativity? We need to start putting REAL WOMEN on a platform and empowering our generation and the next to take advantage of the opportunities we can create for ourselves instead of trying to get a "come up" on the tail of others.

Women work well together and do support each other but tv shows like to hold up the notion that we can not get along and don't work well together. I believe this site is proof that they are wrong.

Permalink Reply by K Moffett on June 10, 2012 at 8:23pm I would love to see a reality show about women handling business. As a student pursuing my MBA, I would love to see more positive role models/mentors. Even if the show had to start off on a small scale i.e a youtube series that would be an attention grabber.
My current have boss chicks who are handling their biz:
Kimora Lee Simmons
Tyra Banks
Beyonce
Raven Symone
Issa Rae (Creator of Awkward Black Girl)

The producers of these shows are doing this on purpose because so many of us watch.
That's Hollywood right?
We can be the change we want to see and be the producers as well.
The Youtube series idea is great!

Permalink Reply by Janay Lewis on July 24, 2012 at 3:38pm I agree! We need more business minded women on our tv screens for the young girls to look up to, intsead of all this trash!

My daughters name is Janay :)
I worry about her generation because all that is on TV is rachetness. I hope that is a word lol
Shows like 16 and Pregnant, Bad Girls Club and the list goes on and on.
They need role models like you and BossChicks
Truth be told we run this country and he or she who runs this country rules the world.
With God's favor and grace of course :)

Permalink Reply by Monique C. Tillman on November 26, 2012 at 8:21am The only reality show that comes close to that would be Eva Marcille's show on Oxygen "Girlfriend Confidential: LA". But there definitely needs to be more shows showcasing BOSS CHICKS making their own money and not some damn Basketball wives who only have their own business because it was pretty much given to them. I'd love to see it!

Permalink Reply by Tiandra Johnson on December 26, 2012 at 2:03pm The Basketball wives have a unique advantage it seems but I am all for using leverage when you have it to build your business. They appear to have influence and access to decision makers at top levels. I like Tia and Tamara as well they are building great businesses in a positive way.

Permalink Reply by Krush Joyner on November 29, 2012 at 4:20pm I mentioned this as well that there should be a bosschicks reality show which highlights the life of a lady boss.
My favorite when it comes to Reality Stars is Kandi Burruss and what i admire is she is a independent lady true meaning of bosschick! However i would like to learn more about her as a successful black business woman.

Permalink Reply by Tiandra Johnson on December 26, 2012 at 2:06pm Thanks for the reply Krush. Kandi Burruss is in a league of her own right. As she says she may be small but her empire is getting bigger all the time! I hope she get's a spin-off show because she is above all the drama and has so much going on.

Permalink Reply by lameka Dixon on Monday I think this is a great idea. It will show our young women that being a boss chick isn't about fighting and putting eachother down. Its about being independent, strong, resourceful and getting this money!
