Social media has been instrumental in engaging with our core customers.
Yes indeed, social media has been rewarding @HollywoodsBouti ! While Word Of Mouth has been my greatest asset!!
Bitten and Bound has mainly used Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Digg and a few others. We have not spent money on advertising. Social media is where it's at and the best part...it's free!
I've never heard of Digg...I must look into that!
Social Media is a great tool but attending networking events and giving away promo pens or items is also a great method.
Nicole, I never thought of promo pens...good idea, lady!
Social media is where its at! I'm limited on funds so I definitely try to find as many free advertising avenues as I possibly can. Blogging is doing wonders for my business so far.
For me, flea markets! Flea markets create a buzz and that buzz spreads to family members, friends and even co-workers. The runner up would have to be jewelry parties. Third, blogging, FB, and my online store.
Word of mouth. I own a Cake Caterning Company and there's nothing like a referral. I give out samples when I vendor so people know exactly what they want in the future.
Using social media to advertise has given me broader even international reach but it has not resulted in sales or partnerships so far. Therefore, I am not sure how to measure the benefits. Meeting face to face with customers and business partners has resulted in profits and stronger networks so I would have to say that is the most successful way to advertise.
