Winter/Spring 2016 Photo Intern

O, The Oprah Magazine is looking for photo interns for the Winter/Spring 2016 semester. Duties include: Assisting editors on photo shoot productions (booking catering and studios, obtaining certificates of insurance and permits), buying props, location scouting, organizing/tracking art, sending issues/tears to photographers/contributors, invoice processing, light photo research and additional administrative duties.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong interest in magazines and photography, excellent administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast paced environment. You must be highly organized, detail oriented and have excellent follow-through skills. Basic knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft programs is a must.

The photo intern is an integral part of our department and plays an important role in getting each and every issue published. It is the perfect internship for a college student trying to gain experience in magazine publishing.

Please note that internships are unpaid and for school credit only. Apply only if you have the resources to commute to our NYC offices.

Qualifications:
-Fluency in Adobe Suite & Microsoft Office
-Enrolled in an undergraduate college or graduate school
-Able to receive school credit for the internship
-Availability of at least two days a week
