Just curious this time...ladies what do you prefer in a man - intelligence or athleticism? Why?
It may sound geenral but I think the athletic types (or those who put sport first) are for fun, and intelligence can usually come with those traits you prefer for a long term thing.
Thoughts?
MBA or NBA

Ok ladies. I have a case of jealousy.
At the club I work at, the promotions manager is the same age as me, same stage in her degree - doing Commerce, not marketing like me.
I feel so stuck in my current position as promo model. Ugh. I have so much more to offer than a smile and a flyer!
I am turning into a jealous person and I need to STOP it. How??
How do you deal with this?

This is more about the way we should treat each other, to remain positive towards each other.
I am a little tired of young girls hating on female celebrities. It's not a healthy way to behave toward other women.
1- Praise success - don't envy. She worked hard to get where she is...
2- If you don't have anything nice to say...
3- Take a different perspective on things - A woman's lifestyle may not…

....until you can justify what every dollar is doing and bringing in in revenue!
I recently finished reading a book called 'Your marketing sucks' by Mark Stevens - AMAZING.
In it, he states that you could spend $1Million on marketing and potentially be wasting every cent.
I recommend ALL BUSINESS WOMEN to read marketing books. Refine your message, be clear about who you are and what you can offer. Keep it…

I'm reading a really great marketing book at the moment called 'Your marketing sucks' by Mark Stevens.
In it he makes a point that you could spend $1Million on marketing, but if your message is not clear, and not being told to the right people, you will make NO SALES.
Be creative, but make sure IT WORKS.
if it doesn't make a sale, don't spend any amount on it.
I strongly recommend this book and others in the category to give you at least a basic understanding of…

I am having the launch party for my business in the next 3 or so weeks. I need to get local magazines aware of this for publicity. How do I go about doing this??
I took a writing for the media class in my first year but forgot!

Does anyone happen to know where students can get discounted (or free) software such as Dreamweaver and Photoshop?

Brands, and fans, are built over time.
Promotion may seem wasted if it does not generate immediate sales but don't panic.
The objectives and outcomes of promotion can be everything other than creating immediate sales.
You need to remind people who you are so that when the time comes for that purchase, they will think of you!
Creating a brand needs time effort and of course $$.
Since a lot…

No matter what job you are trying to land - accounts manager, cover model or brand ambassador, my tip is fake it til you make it.
As you may know my first business, Wet Dreams Beachwear, is run through my dining room. My stock is kept in boxes from K-Mart and the team consists of me and my mum. But no one need know that but you!
The key is presenting an image to your customers they can trust. If I tell people my current position, I would be here forever. My…

20% of your customers bring in 80% of your profits. This is what I have learned today in my 'Consumer Behaviour' class.
KEEP THEM! Keeping your customers is easier than reaching and recruiting new ones.
When you have created a strong brand you have also created an emotional relationship with your customers, something research can not…

Every business needs to be promoted. There are so many promotion methods and it's important to choose the ones that are best for your business.
Keep it in sync with your brand
If the brand of your business is sexy and glamorous, choose to promote it in such a way that reinforces your brand. For example if you are a model and you want to promote your calendar, have a launch at a club etc.
Do your customers need to be connected to…

So yesterday I went to meet with the promotions manager of a new club event here in WA called Eurohouse. I got it, started working that night and met with the big boss and agreed that my boutique Wet Dreams Beachwear would sponsor the upcoming competition they have to find a new model for their promotional materials, flyers etc.
And I'm not gonna pay a thing ;)
Exposure for my brand, for free, get models and other girls interested = score!
There are lots of things coming…

On the bus home from uni my iPod shuffled onto an audio I had taken from a YouTube motivational video. It was the same day I had been confirmed to enter into a competition that could see me being flown to Bali to shoot a magazine cover. That's when I came up with this:
It's not the size of your dream that matters but the intensity of which you go after it.
The video is about productivity and effectively using your skills and time. Here is…

Besides putting food on your table, setting your price is mandatory if you want to be successful.
Anyone who told you to ‘start at the bottom and work your way up’ is wrong. Set your price and you will be desired.
That goes for a lot of things. Everyone wants something exclusive.
‘’But when models are doing it for free, why would I be paid?’’ Well, who wants to drive a car that costs $100? Who wants a handbag that costs $5?
Price says I am exclusive, I am worth it, and I…

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/8541555/women-shelved-in-ikeas-saudi-catalogue
In case you haven't already heard, the Ikea catalogue in Saudi Arabia has gotten rid of all images of women.
Do I have to explain why this is wrong?
Women exist. A woman is not offensive.
Why are there people who still think a woman is theirs to control,…

Hi ladies,
So I placed a Facebook ad about a week ago and the ''Likes'' on my page has risen from 27 to 76 at $10 per day. Is this really the most effective way to advertise?
I have no budget really. I do modeling and promo jobs when I can but I need something that's cheap and effective!
Suggestions?

Hi ladies! This blog post is all about the pricing strategy you should apply to your business no matter how large or what stage you are in!
Before I explain the simile in the title of this post stop and think about products you have bought over the last few weeks. Clothes, shoes, accessories, what have you.
Aside from the actual better quality, everything else…

I recently placed an order with spicy-sexylingerie.com for my beach business
It arrived today well overdue and the quantities were all wrong, I had items missing altogether and I even had something in there I did not order.
The quality is very disappointing and does not match the item in their stock photos.
On the other hand, my previous wholesaler dear-lover.com was very prompt and everything was correct.
