If unstoppability has a conjoined twin, its name is Domination. Probably both of these powerful words share the same heart and one could not live to see another day without the other. They are unnaturally inseparable.
Remember the legendary sports champions and celebrity icons, like Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey and Nicolas Cage, to name a few among the best out there. They are UNSTOPPABLE people. Who they are today or during the peak of their long-sustained prime would have turned out much differently if they have not blazed trails and DOMINATED their respective fields of interest. As I was growing in the practice of entrepreneurship, I have fashioned my personal growth after these immensely successful people and paralleled my own vision upon how these inspirations are taking their businesses to the direction which they are supposed to go. I have summarized these pathways to domination in 7 points and here they are:
#1 Step out with a whole new flavor
The name of the game is “Standing Out and Get Chosen”. One way to be overlooked is to blend in with the crowd. Stand out in style. Blending in by camouflage only works in wildlife.
#2 Create a signature product
Give them something so uniquely special and authentic that ONLY YOU can give. People love SPECIALS and value for money packages.
#3 Go above and beyond to satisfy your customers
Assuring high quality customer service is just as important as assuring the quality of your product. Respect the customer’s time before any sale, during the sale, after the sale and even when there is no sale. Be consistent. Aim only to deliver to please each customer beyond expectations.
#4 Strut with assertiveness
Confidence is the best armour in a strategic battle of marketing wits. Confidence comes only if you love what do with the most intense passion. The market would utterly respect you, not just for the genuine professional that you are but for the intense love that you have shown to what you are doing.
#5 Wave “bye” to your competition, they're irrelevant
You are a master game-changer. Competition does not matter to you anymore. Your presence in the market starts a whole new ball game. Where a master leads, everyone else follows. You rule.
#6 Know your stuff and know it well
Be a recognized master in the industry that you are in. Earn not just the clientele’s respect and admiration, but from your competitors as well. For me, this one of the best achievements a professional entrepreneur can get from mastering her business.
#7 Charge what you're worth
I don’t believe in price war. If you sell rare diamonds, would you price your precious rocks at the price of jelly beans? Definitely not. You have something rare and precious in you that only you can give to satisfy your client. Charge cheaply and you would be regarded as such. Charge wisely and together you will grow wise with your client.
It’s a jungle out there. In order to survive and rise on top of the food chain, you got to have teeth and claws. You don’t have to be ruthless, being fierce to me is being very effective with using what you have. Believe that you are the best in what you do and ready to conquer more territories for your business.
