Women have always known that shoes say a lot about a person so it doesn't surprise me that researchers are realizing it as well. I mean, when we first meet a guy, one of the first things we do is check his footwork for two reasons: 1.) to see if he has on nice shoes and 2.) to see how big they are in hopes that his penis size matches.Well, after years of being in the dark, because women are simply smarter *wink,* researchers are finally touching on a subject that we already knew, that your shoes say a lot about you and your personality.
According to Mail Online, "psychologists from the University of Kansas found that the style, value, colour and condition of the footwear can paint a picture of the owner's emotional, political and other vital personality traits." Really??? Hmmmm!!!!
They performed research using 63 students showing them all photographs of 208 different pairs of shoes and were able to guess around 90 percent of the wearer's personality characteristics. They each had to fill out a personality questionnaire and were told to disclose their most worn shoes during the experiment. The observers were also asked to guess the gender, age and social status of the owner, including whether or not the owner was an extrovert or introvert, liberal leaning or conservative, their emotional stability, agreeableness, conscientiousness and openness.
Here's what the team reported:

"Some of the clues are obvious. Expensive shoes suggest high earners, flash and colourful pairs belong to extroverts."
"Shoes that may not be new but are immaculate belong to conscientious types."
"Other clues are less obvious. Practical and functional shoes belong to agreeable people, ankle boots are worn by aggressive personalities and calm personalities wear uncomfortable looking shoes."
"Those with 'attachment anxiety' where they worried about their relationships, tended to have brand new and well kept shoes. This may be because they worry so much about their appearance and what others may think of them."
"Liberal thinkers, who many think of as sandal wearing hippies, did not surprise. They really do wear scruffier and less expensive shoes, said the research."
Throughout the entire study, the most accurate ratings were age, gender and income along with their emotional stability.
WOW! This just really said a lot more than I really thought and next time I put on a pair of shoes it's going to have me wondering what they say about me.
What do you think your shoes will say about you???
