Mona Scott-Young Blasts Critics for Hating On Her Show

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta is a show filled with all types of reality TV drama.  The chicks on the show are usually portrayed in a wild way, as they are often seen cursing at one another, fighting, screaming, and pulling out weaves.  There have been a load of critics who have expressed their opinions regarding how they feel the show portrays black women in a negative light.

Well the show's executive producer Mona Scott-Young has a message for her haters which she dished out on Twitter.

"You know what they say.."Shoot the messenger". But more simply, if you don't like the show...DON'T WATCH IT! Freedom of choice!! I just ... the folks talking s*** but glued to the screen. Change the damn channel!! LOL!"

How do you feel about the show and the way it's women are portrayed in it?

I agree with Mona. Nobody makes you watch her show or any shows.  We all have the right to change the channel.  If these ladies choose to act a fool on television then that is their business. This is their reputation not ours.

I agree with Mona, it may not be for everyone and that's fine. If that's the case dont watch. All others continue to do so.

She can't get mad at people for having an opinion! If she doesn't like what people are saying then she doesn't have to listen!

It its what it is. Like she said if u don't like it, turn the channel. No matter.what negative comments are made, more ppl are watching than not, or else the shows would be canceled. At the end of the day if this is how they want to be portrayed that's their business. We hardly hear about the men on the.shows however. Stevie J looking kind of whorish also. Some.ppl.get it how they live it. if they act like this in real life then that's just their way of.capitalizing. I don't knock anyone's hustle, if I don't like it, I stay away from it.

I watched that mess only because a cast member is from my hometown; however, I couldn't finish. It was full of senseless drama that didnt make any sense. I dont have a problem with not watching. Black women are already stereotyped to be loud mouth and popping off. We are never protrayed as smart, educated talented women. The ratio has increased of black women who earn thei degrees and are in corporate America. Yes they do it for a paycheck but baby I bet mine is more than.theirs. If you don't stand for something you fall for anything point blank. If you want to sell your soul for 5mins of fame at only $30k a year go ahead I'm not with the bull. Channel changed!!
