Nicki Minaj just took me back in time with this colorful, culturally rich visual for her latest single “Pound The Alarm”. She went back to her Trini roots showcasing Carnival, and I personally think it’s one of best vids she  has ever done. Even though she’s looking more and more like the original Barbie doll, there is something very authentic about her. Directed by Benny Boom, they gave us stunning shots of island life and it’s natural beauty. Some people think Carnival is only in Brazil. In fact, Carnival is celebrated though out the Caribbean at different times of the year.  What do you think of the video?
