20% of your customers bring in 80% of your profits. This is what I have learned today in my 'Consumer Behaviour' class.
KEEP THEM! Keeping your customers is easier than reaching and recruiting new ones.
When you have created a strong brand you have also created an emotional relationship with your customers, something research can not measure.
Reaching your customers (or new ones) on an emotional level is the best type of marketing you can do.
Come up with ways of reaching customers and reminding people you exist in ways that create good assosications, trust etc. Anything that reinforces your brand values and mission!
If one of your brand values is doing good, why not create a charity event and get others involved in doing good? (Even if your business has nothing to do with charity, your brand does!)
Also -- reward loyalty is a great way to ensure you keep that 80% of profits coming in.
EXAMPLE - If you are in the beauty business, why not do bi-annually free treatments or beauty parties for your most loyal customers?
