Being in the fashion industry, I get tons of trends crossing my desk daily. Jeans have and always will be the staple pant in every woman's closet, but have changed with the decades. These days, the combination of chic and comfort is the way to go for most women. These are just a few types of jeans that are in for 2013.

Color

Beautiful browns, dark reds, plums and navy are the "it" shades for 2013. Earthy tones and pastels are also trendy, but not likely to last. Invest in colors that you will wear, otherwise, stick with the darker colors.

Ripped

Trendy for a while, ripped and shredded jeans remain in the forefront of the denim fads this coming year. Shorts, crop pants, jeans, any type of ripped denim is in. So don't throw out those shredded bottoms, even if they are a little more ripped this year than last!

Stretch

The superskinny look is still going strong and thanks to stretch jeans, can be comfy too! All colors, but primarily reds, purples, sand and dark denim hues are hottest. 

Jackets

Think Madonna! Jean jackets are back baby! Light and stonewash denim is THE style for 2013. Invest in this piece, it'll be around a while.
