The internet has taken over our minds! If it was a drug it’d be bath salts and we’d be eating people’s faces off. But seriously our, addiction to modern technologies and “gang wars” over #TeamIphone or #TeamDroid have taken the place of passing notes and double dutching with our REAL friends.

      I, myself, suffer from a more serious addiction known as Twitter. Yes, yes, that adorable little blue bird and those 140 characters have put a chokehold on my life. I tweet before I brush my teeth, I tweet when I’m bored, and when I’m in class I daydream about tweeting!! It has gotten so bad that I now rate my ‘cool factor’ on how many followers I have or how many people RT’d my rant about how some niggas ain’t s***. IT’S INSANE!

      In lieu of this rant and some more self reflecting, the thought of going on a twitter fast crossed my mind…..

Then I thought “Jane, how would you explain this fast to your followers in less than 140 characters??” 0_o

      The main idea of this rant is to shed light on our CreativelyGeneric (yes that’s the blog’s name ^__^) generation. We put mediocre spins on old ideas and still demand recognition. Even though I knew my followers had seen thousands of “Niggas ain’t shit” rants, I still posted and expected 50+ RT’s. It’s time that we started thinking for ourselves and not about what other people will think or will “RT”.
