Turns out that those rumors of a Nicki Minaj, reality star, that have been spinning all week are true, sort of. E! has confirmed that they’ve tapped the Queen Barbie, but or a day-in, day-out Kardashian style reality series we had hoped for, but instead for a trilogy of specials that will run on the network beginning in November. The announcement makes a point of the fact that the specials will include never-before-seen footage of the rapper in her personal and professional life, and though we can’t be mad about more time with Nicki, we have to wonder how juicy this “never-before-seen” footage could possibly be.

From what we can tell, Nicki is never not working and rarely out of sight, always Re-Up-ping records or shilling perfume and soda pop while sounding-off on twitter or acting a judge on American Idol–  how many “never-before-seen” hours can her schedule possibly afford?

Nicki sates us so thoroughly with her business ventures that we rarely have chance to wonder about her personal business. And so we know only a little bit about her politics, but even less about her boyfriend Safaree Samuels. We learned during her 2010 MTV special that she likes to eat almonds when she’s in the studio and that we shouldn’t think she’s a b**** just because she knows what she wants, but we were left wondering what sorts of things she might want beyond fame, fortune and rap game domination. Could this trilogy of reality specials answer some of these questions or will they just be able to follow as she’s shuttled from perfume launch to red carpet to the strip club (for a 2 Chainz video shoot, but of course!) and then back to the studio from there? Will they actually be able to show us a part of her life we aren’t already privy to?
