While Rihanna has recently taken on a new creative role at Puma, it isn’t stopping her from continued exploration in the fashion world. This time, Rihanna is trying her hand at high-fashion via Italian brand, Fendi.As Fendi gears up to open its new flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York, Fendi has called on a few stylish women to make the occasion memorable, and to do a good deed through fashion. Rihanna is one of those women who has designed a “3 baguette” collection for the brand which will be on display at the flagship’s cocktail party and premiere event on February 13 as a part of the brand’s “3 Baguette Auction”. Other women who have designed include Jourdan Dunn, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel Feinstein, and Leandra Medine.Proceeds from the auction will go towards each designers’ choice charity. As for Rihanna, proceeds will go to her own foundation, the Clara Lional Foundation.
Fendi’s chief executive officer explained the ladies’ role in designing the collection: “They had free rein, choosing their favorite colors, favoring their own personal tastes. It also shows that nothing is impossible with the incredible artisans at Fendi”. (via WWD)
The collection will be on display from February 13 to March 13 and available for purchase through the official auction site, 3baguetteauction.fendi.com, set to launch at the end of January. We can’t wait to see what Rihanna came up with!
