Minnesota Woman Surprises 5 Black Women Business Owners With Billboard Ads

In celebration of Black Business Month, Sheletta Brundidge, the brilliant mind behind ShelettaMakesMeLaugh.com, has taken a remarkable step to uplift and empower Black women entrepreneurs. Recently, she purchased billboard advertisements in downtown Minneapolis to showcase the incredible talents of five Black women business owners. This powerful gesture not only highlights their businesses but also aims to address the historical challenges Black women face in securing venture capital.

Brundidge's intention behind this act of solidarity is twofold. First and foremost, she wants to provide tangible support to these deserving entrepreneurs. By investing $15,000 through her production company, she sponsored two weeks of billboard advertising to promote their businesses. Brundidge understands the importance of investing in Black-owned and family-run businesses, leveraging her network to create opportunities that may have otherwise been out of reach.

Inspired by the story of Minnesota Viking wide receiver Randy Moss, who has made a point of investing in Black companies, Brundidge felt compelled to follow suit. Moss, in his interview with the Philadelphia Tribune, expressed the significance of investing in Black-owned businesses and using his platform to uplift others. Brundidge's passion and determination mirror this sentiment, as she recognizes the immense value in supporting Black women in business.
