5 Ways To Make Money And Grow Your Business On Threads

Instagram debuted it’s new micro blogging app called Threads… and we love it!

It’s giving Twitter year 2010 …and by that we mean it’s extremely user friendly, and the algorithm is algorithming in our favor 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Although Threads is rip me out the plastic brand new, it didn't take long for us to navigate the app, test out some of the features, and put a game plan in play as to how we will add value as well as monetize the platform. 

We're Focusing On Conversation and Community Building

Threads is great for community building and hosting discussions aka "threads", so we began to think of ways to engage our audience by creating posts that would naturally form a thread of responses.

Sharing a thread on your instagram page or stories is a great way to show your IG followers that you are active on Threads.

Including your thread link in an email broadcast or on your website is another great way to tell your supporters how they can find you. Although for many Instagram users, this was done at the time of account creation.

Asking your followers for their input on the type of content they’d prefer is a great idea if you’re preparing to plan content.

We asked our followers for their input and based on their response we decided that we would use the app to share daily affirmations, success stories, and somewhere in-between the motivational posts we will sprinkle in business tips and blog links, as well as links to our ebooks and courses to generate sales. This is how we will monetize our Threads account.

Although some users may be cool with just kicking back and sharing laughs, there is definitely a lane for business-minded and financially savvy boss chicks on the app as well.

If you sell t-shirts, clothing, accessories or even hair you should definitely be posting about your amazing products on Threads and sharing images, videos and links to where they can purchase your products as well.

Blog posts, articles and YouTube clips are great way to keep users engaged and coming back to your Threads page for more. Threads is a Microblogging app so creating an engaging post that funnels traffic back to your main blog (or vlog), if you have one isn't uncommon. And if your blog or YouTube channel is monetized with impression ads then thats a plus.. more traffic = more money.

4. Sponsored Posts

As you begin to grow your following on Threads you may consider becoming a brand ambassador for other businesses. There is a huge opportunity to make money on threads before they officially roll out monetization requirements.

5. Sponsored Reposts

Every time you “rethread” a post you’re expanding it’s reach. We see potential for brands paying for reposts in order to grow their Threads popularity. (it’s probably a good idea to disclose whether a share or repost is a sponsored ad).

It’s only been a few hours but it’s safe to say that Threads is definitely a must have app for any entrepreneur looking to grow their brand, monetize the platform and promote their products or services FOR FREE.

In addition to our Instagram followers finding us with just a click of button, we love that we are able to add value to Threads community as well as promote our business.. and you can too.

The best part is you don't have to tell your followers to  “click the link in my bio” to funnel traffic to your website. Users can just click on the actual links you share and they will be forwarded to the given url 👏🏽

If you’re a small business owner I wouldn’t shy away from promoting your business on the app early on. So far the algorithm is working in our favor .. but this may change.

In the meantime have fun, don't spam.. balance out community building and monetization. But definitely get your coin sis… and don’t let anyone make you feel guilty about doing so💅🏽
